As it was morning, the sun was bustling in the city. Vrinda was getting ready as they were going to see the college campus.
“Mummy, main jaa rahi hu,” Vrinda said from her room while she was wearing earrings.
“Maine sandwiches banaye hai, khaa kar jaana,” Sharvari said from the kitchen.
“Nahi, mummy, late ho chuka hai. Jana hoga,” Vrinda said.
She called Vaidehi as she wanted to check how she was coming.
“Hello,” Vaidehi answered.
“Hello,” Vrinda said.
“Kaise aane wale hai aap madam?” Vrinda questioned.
“Auto se aa jaungi, dekhti hu…” Vaidehi replied.
“Accha, dhyaan se aana,” Vrinda said.
“Tum kaise aane wali ho?” Vaidehi questioned.
“Abji toh pata nahi, shayad auto se he aa jaungi… dekhti hu… pehle hi late ho gayi hu,” Vrinda answered.
“Thik hai, milte hai,” Vaidehi said.
“Haan, bye,” Vrinda said.
“Bye,” Vaidehi said while cutting the call.
“Vrinda beta… kaha ho ye kha kar jaana…” Sharvari called Vrinda.
“Haan, mummy aayi,” Vrinda answered while rushing down the stairs from her room.
“Mummy… main bahot late ho gayi hu… aakar kha lungi,” Vrinda insisted.
“Nahi, tum kab aaogi tumhe bhi pata nahi hota… kha lo, waise bhi kitni der lagne wali hai khaane mein,” Sharvari said to her.
“Nahi, mummy… bye,” Vrinda said.
As she was about to leave from the door, Anish stood in front of her with both of his hands folded.
“Tum kab aaye?” Vrinda said in shock but getting happy.
“Are Anish, accha hua tum aa gaye…” Sharvari said.
“Baitho, sandwiches khao. Vrinda se kaha toh who sunti kaha hai meri,” Sharvari said.
“Aunty, koi baat nahi, main hu na… main samjhata hu,” Anish said looking at Vrinda.
“Vrinda, chalo yaha baitho aur yeh sandwiches khao,” Anish said to Vrinda.
“Nahi, abhi khane baithungi toh late ho jayega,” Vrinda said to Anish, looking at her mother who was still glaring at her.
“Nahi hoga late, hum bike pr jaayenge… toh pohach jaayenge, tum tension mat lo,” Anish said.
“Thik hai, khaati hu,” Vrinda said.
“Anish, baitho, main tumhare liye bhi sandwiches lekar aati hu,” Sharvari said.
“Are nahi aunty,” Anish said but Sharvari insisted, so he sat down to eat sandwiches.
As they both finished eating,
“Chalo abb chalte hai,” Vrinda said.
“Haan,” Anish said.
“Sandwiches bahot tasty the… baad main milte hain aunty,” Anish said to Sharvari before leaving.
“Bye beta, aana fir,” Sharvari said.
“Bye mummy,” Vrinda said hugging her mother before leaving.
As Anish and Vrinda went near his bike, Anish was about to start his bike but then Vrinda stopped him.
“Tumhe acche se bike chalani toh aati hai na?” Vrinda questioned Anish.
“Haan toh,” Anish replied.
“Sach keh rahe ho na? Nahi toh hum dono gir jayenge… aur chot bhi toh aa sakti hai,” Vrinda said.
“Are nahi, senorita, aisa kuch nahi hoga… mere paas license bhi hai, tumhe dikha du kya?” Anish questioned in a mischievous way.
“Aap majak kr rahe hai pr sach main aisa ho sakta hain,” Vrinda said while both her hands folded on her chest.
“Accha… toh kya karu ab main jisse aapko vishwas ho jayega ki main acchi tarah se bike chala sakta hu?” Anish asked in a polite way.
“Kuch nahi… chaliye,” Vrinda answered.
“Tum bhi na, senorita,” Anish said while laughing.
On the other side, Vaidehi was waiting for an auto but a single auto was not available. Till then, a boy came and stood near her but he was wearing a helmet so Vaidehi didn’t recognize him and left from there and stood a little distance away. But the boy again reached her with his bike.
“Tum kon ho aur mujhe kyu follow kar rahe ho… suno daant tod dungi tumhare… jyada style maara toh,” Vaidehi said looking at him.
The boy removed his helmet and laughed at Vaidehi.
“Are main hu… Kitna gussa karti ho,” Shriyan said.
“Tum?” Vaidehi said.
“Haan… tumhe dekha toh socha chalo saath main chalte hain… waise bhi ek hi jagah jaa rahe hain,” Shriyan said while offering a lift to Vaidehi.
“Nahi mujhe nahi aana tumhare saath,” Vaidehi said.
“Par kyuu?” Shriyan asked.
“Mujhe nahi aana… bass,” Vaidehi said.
“Tumhe yaha auto kaha se milegi, chalo bhi, jidd mat karo,” Shriyan said.
“Nahi,” Vaidehi said.
“Please Vaidehi,” Shriyan said in a pleading way.
“Thik hai… chalo,” Vaidehi said to Shriyan as she sat on his bike while Shriyan just smiled.
“Chale?” Shriyan asked.
“Haan,” Vaidehi said.
Shriyan was riding his bike while taking time to time glances at Vaidehi from the mirror of his bike who was still a little irritated by him.
“Chodo bhi yeh gussa… tumhe lagta hai utna bhi bura nahi hu main,” Shriyan said, breaking the ice.
Vaidehi just smiled in response.
“Accha, mere saath dosti kr ke khud jaan lo mujhe… agar laga main accha nahi hu toh hum phir kabhi baat nahi karenge… Promise,” Shriyan said again.
“Main kyu karu dosti aur mujhe nahi jaana tumhe,” Vaidehi said.
“Are hum dono ek hi stream mein hai toh,” Shriyan explained.
“Accha thik hai… aaj se gussa nahi karungi tum pr… abb bike chalao nahi toh hum kisi se takra jaayenge,” Vaidehi said while Shriyan just laughed at her.
On the other side, Vrinda was with Anish, who was telling her about the places he wants to visit with her but then he just pulled the brakes as he saw a flower stall near the road, but the sudden pull of brakes led Vrinda to fall on Anish.
“Hey Kanha… humne kaha tha… gir gaye na hum,” Vrinda asked with her eyes closed.
Anish purchased 10 different colors of roses from the lady who was selling the flowers, and held them near Vrinda who was still with closed eyes.
“Anish,” Vrinda said while opening her eyes just to find Anish holding flowers for her.
She blushed while taking the flowers from Anish.
“Aap yeh laane gaye the… main toh darr gayi thi,” Vrinda said with a shy smile still on her face.
“Mein saath hu tabhi darr gayi?” Anish said in a flirting way.
“Chaliye pehle hi late ho gaye,” Vrinda said while blushing.
“Jo aagyaa,” Anish said.
And they both reached the college and were waiting for others to come. Till then, Isha and Akshat arrived on a bike leaving Vrinda and Anish shocked.
“Tum dono ek saath kaise?” Vrinda questioned.
“Are kal jab mujhe Akshat ne drop kiya tab kaha tha who mujhe lene aayega… aaj autos ki strike hai issliye… toh hum ek saath aaye hai,” Isha answered.
“Accha,” Vrinda responded.
“Yeh Vaidu aur Shriyan kaha reh gaye?” Vrinda said.
“Abhi tak nahi aaye dono?” Akshat asked.
“Nahi,” Anish answered.
“Yeh kya aa gaye,” Isha said while looking at them.
Shriyan was parking his bike but then by mistake, a dog came before them and in this situation, Shriyan pulled the brake immediately, leading Vaidehi to fall on him.
“Sorry… woh…” Shriyan said.
“Its okk tumhari galati nahi hain… sorry mat bolo,” Vaidehi responded and got up from the bike.
“Tum dono… aur who bhi ek saath?” The four, Isha, Vrinda, Akshat, and Anish, asked in unison, getting shocked to see the two together who always fought with each other.
“Haan, woh mujhe auto mil hi nahi rahi thi toh, Shriyan mila raaste mein toh usne mujhe lift de di,” Vaidehi explained.
“Are, par aaj toh autos ki strike thi tumhe pata nahi tha?” Isha said to Vaidehi.
“Kyaa… sachii… mujhe toh pata nahi tha,” Vaidehi said.
“Aur Shriyan toh tumhare ghar se dur rehta hai
na… toh woh waha kaise aaya?” Vrinda asked.
“Are woh mera kuch kaam tha toh main wahi tha,” Shriyan explained.
“Toh autos ki strike thi yeh tumhe pata tha?” Isha questioned Anish.
“Haan… pata tha,” Shriyan answered.
“Bas abb yahi baate karne hai kya… chalo jo karne aaye hai woh toh karte hai pehle,” Anish said to everyone.
“Haan,” Akshat said, and everyone was making their way to the college but Vaidehi stood there thinking and understood the situation that Shriyan was there only for her; he didn’t have any work in that area.
“Chalo Vaidehi,” Shriyan called her, breaking her thoughts.
“Haan aayi,” Vaidehi replied, making her way towards Shriyan and making a decision that she will be a good friend to him.
